Silver Lining Welfare Organization (Regd.) is devotedly working to root out drug abuse from our society. In this sense our NGO is conducting various activities to create awareness against drug abuse among the general public, like walks and rallies, stage plays, and student competitions. Working in remote areas and villages is a challenging experience — the solution of one problem creates circumstances for other problems to be tackled.
Addiction treatment and rehabilitation is a continuous struggle that never ends, but has satisfying rest posts of success. Experience in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts has revealed that for concrete results, all community development efforts must be inter-linked. This is the approach Silver Lining Welfare Organization has adopted and will strictly adhere to, to ensure the sustainability of its efforts and programs in future.
SLWO has successfully intimated progress in under-developed areas by involving communities in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs — in some cases even at the conceptualization stage. To carry out program activities, selected local youth are trained to implement projects under SLWO supervision, so they may eventually run programs independently as SLWO moves to other development areas.
Silver Lining Welfare Organization (Regd.) works on drug demand reduction in two ways, as our country is suffering badly due to drug abuse: mass awareness, and treatment and rehabilitation. Annually, about one million people receive awareness through our outreach program, and about 1,000 patients receive treatment at our treatment and rehabilitation centers. Silver Lining (An Addiction & Psychological Treatment Center) is a project of SLWO with 90-bed patient capacity, where drug addicts receive treatment and rehabilitation facilities at very low cost.

- B-II, Subhan Garden, Faizpur Interchange, Lahore
